Guitar lessons with Wayne Willems start with the basics: chords, basic scales, tuning, and rhythm. INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED GUITAR LESSONS

With Wayne's intermediate and advanced guitar lessons, students can build on the skills they have developed through their beginner lessons..

In this course, students will learn chord structuring, rhythms, and solo structure for intermediate and advanced guitarists.

During this course, student guitarists will learn more advanced techniques by playing a variety of songs from famous musicians. Students are able to play and perform at a higher level with Wayne's teaching system.

AT WHAT AGE SHOULD KIDS BEGIN GUITAR LESSONS?

In general, there is no ideal age for kids to begin guitar lessons, however the dexterity and patience needed to master the instrument are generally not present in children under 5. Some kids have learned how to play guitar at a remarkable young age when they have persevered and remained motivated, but it mostly depends on the student's maturity level and attitude.

WHAT IS THE COST OF GUITAR LESSONS?

Currently, month-to-month cost is $130. A commitment of 4 months will cost $115 per month. You do not have to pay the entire amount upfront.

DO YOU NEED A GUITAR OR DOES THE INSTRUCTOR PROVIDE ONE?

It is recommended that students purchase their own guitar. Occasionally, the instructor will let students borrow a guitar during lessons, but for optimal results, students should keep a guitar and amp at home for daily practice.

SHOULD THE STUDENT PURCHASE AN ELECTRIC OR ACOUSTIC GUITAR?

It is recommended that students learn the fundamentals of playing the guitar on an acoustic guitar when they are just starting out. As the student shows improvement, it might be time to purchase an electric guitar and amp to advance their skills.

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED TIME IT WILL TAKE YOU OR YOUR CHILD TO BECOME PROFICIENT AT PLAYING THE GUITAR?

In as little as six months, children and adults alike can master basic guitar skills with steady practice and weekly private lessons. Many students reach advanced guitarist status in as few as 3-5 years, although that varies.

In the end, what matters is not what songs you practice, but how much time you or your child spends playing the guitar. Your instructor recommends that students practice the guitar for at least 30 minutes a day in order to get the best results.
